Drupal 7 - What Permissions do Content Leads and Content Editors have?
There are hundreds of specific permissions, but here are the main points.
Content Leads
- Add content (nodes)
- Edit their own content
- Edit any content
- Save content as Draft and Need Review
- Publish content
- Unpublish content
- Add items to menus
- Edit menu items
- Change the author on content
- Upload files
- Edit any files
- Delete any files
- Webform components - access and edit webform components and configuration
- Access all webform submissions
- Edit own webform submissions

Content Editors
- Add content (nodes)
- Edit their own content
- Save content as Draft and Need Review

Generally, a Content Editor can add and edit content, but can only save as Draft or Needs Review. A Content Lead must review and Publish the content.
