There are hundreds of specific permissions, but here are the main points.

Content Leads

  • Add content (nodes)
  • Edit their own content
  • Edit any content
  • Save content as Draft and Need Review
  • Publish content
  • Unpublish content
  • Add items to menus
  • Edit menu items
  • Change the author on content
  • Upload files
  • Edit any files
  • Delete any files
  • Webform components - access and edit webform components and configuration
  • Access all webform submissions
  • Edit own webform submissions
  • Edit any webform submissions

Content Editors

  • Add content (nodes)
  • Edit their own content
  • Save content as Draft and Need Review

Generally, a Content Editor can add and edit content, but can only save as Draft or Needs Review.  A Content Lead must review and Publish the content.
