Drupal 7 - Training
The Web Office and Drupal Team offer two kinds of Drupal training:
Drupal Training for Content Editors and Leads
This is a self-paced, online Canvas course that covers some basic topics related to website building and maintenance at SSU. This includes web accessibility concepts, videos that demonstrate various aspects of SSU's Drupal environment, and SSU style standards. This is mandatory training for anyone who will have access to edit SSU Drupal sites.
Employees who need training for a site that has already migrated to Drupal should fill out a General-type Drupal/Website Request.
Hands-on Drupal Orientation
When a new department site is ready for content editors to add their content, the Drupal Team schedules a hands-on orientation for department web staff. During this session, the department web staff log in to their sites and are shown how to perform specific content-editing tasks.
Other Options?
- YouTube - there are lots of Drupal training videos on YouTube. Most of these are meant for Drupal admins and site builders. If you search for videos, look for ones that cover using CKEditor, or adding and editing images.
- If you have questions about how to edit content, submit a General-type Drupal/Website Request and the Web Office will follow up with you.
