Welcome to SSU!
Wi-Fi Networks
Sonoma State has a variety of Wi-Fi networks. We recommend using SSU-SECURE. To sign in, use your Seawolf ID and password. For more information about our networks see Networks, Wi-Fi page.
Online Services
Online Services is SSU's portal to vital applications, services, tools, and information. You'll find the Login link at the top of most University web pages. MFA is required for access to the Online Services portal for students. Go to the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Students website for more information. Online Services is where you'll go for links to:
- Email and Calendar
- MySSU Student Center
- Canvas
- Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Parking Permits
- Make Payments (Tuition, Housing fees, etc.)
- Set up Parent/Guardian access to payments
- Use a variety of handy tools
Google Workspace (Google Apps)
Google Workplace is available to every student. You can access your Google Apps via Online Services login. You will have access to Docs, Sheets, unlimited cloud storage via Google Drive, and more.
Email and Calendar
Your email address is in the format of seawolfid@sonoma.edu by default. You can access your email in any web browser by clicking the Email link in Online Services. IT Help Desk
The IT Help Desk is in the Seawolf Service Center, Salazar Hall 1000. At the IT Help Desk, we can assist you with checking out equipment, supporting common applications, malware consultation and removal, campus email accounts, Wi-Fi, and more. Learning Management System (Canvas)
Depending on your professor, your course portal may be in Canvas. In any LMS, you will be able to submit assignments, view upcoming deadlines, take online tests, and communicate with your professor and other students.
Computer Labs
SSU provides computer labs for class and student use:.
- Schulz 1014 (iMacs only)
- Schulz 2010 (iMacs only)
- Stevenson 1109 (PCs)
- Stevenson 1111 (PCs)
- Stevenson 1208 (PCs)
Additionally, the Schulz Library has 145 workstations (both Mac and PC) and you can also borrow a laptop. Check the schedules via the room links above before attempting to use a lab. For more information, see our Labs and Tech Classrooms page.
8. Kivuto
Through a site called Kivuto (login required), you can install certain software for free on your personal computer. For a list of available software, see our Software Downloads for Home Use page.
